3 page 41 and 42 when the Marine came to talk about joining the army and ned and his frends where admiring the marine’s uniform.
4 page 57 when ned was going to boot camp and he remember that he was going the same rought that his ansestors went when the were being exiled now he is going to be a soldier
5 page 103 when he was just about to do a beach landing
page 88 it says "class do you see this foolish little Indian boy " " he is wasting his time looking at places on a map that he knows he will never go instead of studying his math. he knows nothing about the world. he will never be smart enough to do anything but herd sheep."
ReplyDeleteshells landed all around them. Mortars and 75s from enemy batteries. they herd the crack of the .25caliber rifles of hidden snipers, a sound very different from our own M1s. but they didn't see any Japanese soldiers themselves. at least not alive
